¡La primavera ha llegado y la temporada de las grandes limpiezas y pintura ha comenzado!
El jueves 16 de marzo estuvimos haciendo trabajo de mantenimiento en los chozos del Aula de Naturaleza Tierra ReVerde.
Los chozos son construcciones típicas de esta región; tienen planta circular y fueron el lugar de descanso de los pastores cuando estaban de trashumancia.
Trabajar en la Aula de Naturaleza Tierra ReVerde es parte de nuestro Servicio de Voluntariado Europeo en el Cala. Una vez a semana vamos para realizar tareas de mantenimiento y cuando hay ocupación, también participamos echando una mano en la cocina y en la gestión de las actividades; por ejemplo, el último fin de semana de Marzo, estuvimos participando en el acompañamiento de las niñas y los niños de la Asociación AMACABA de Badajoz en el su proceso grupal y, en abril, estuvimos ahí por las actividades de campamento “artistas en la naturaleza” de Semana Santa.
Nunca te puedes aburrir ahí, siempre hay que hacer. Todas las veces que vamos descubrimos algo nuevo, en tema de plantas y animales.
Cuando no hay ocupación es un lugar donde el silencio reina, perfecto para desconectarte mientras realiza trabajo físico.
Este jueves hemos pintado los chozos con cal. Se ha elegido la cal y no la pintura, porque es un material natural. Todas las actividades y los trabajos que hay que hacer se intentan hacerlo con una cierta sensibilidad en tema del medio ambiente, las instalaciones también están pensadas para cuidar el medio ambiente, hay paneles solares para usar energía alternativa y hay un sistema particular para la gestión de los residuos. The spring is arrived! It is cleaning and painting time!
16Th of March, was Thursday, and we was doing maitanance works to the “Chozos” in the “Aula the Naturaleza Tierra ReVerde” [*]
“Chozos” are typical buildings of this region. They have circular architectural plan and have been the shepherds' resting place during transhumance.
Working here is a constituent part of our European Voluntering Service in Cala. Once a week we go to do mantainance works and more we go when there are activities to help in the kitchen or with the workshops; for example we was there in the last week-end of March working with the Asociation AMACABA of Badajoz and in April for the children Easter camp called “Artistas en la Naturaleza”
Never you get bored there, always you can find something to do. Everytime we discover something new about animals or plants.
The times in which there are not groups activities, this is a land of silence, perfect to wind down with the mind doing physical work.
This Thursday we was painting choosing lime instead of paint because of a certain sensitiveness about enviroment. Because of the same also the buildings are planed with some cautions; there are solar panels and a particular solid waste management system. If you would like to know more click here.
